On November 1, Google’s multi-city tour, “Going Google: the Roadshow,” made a stop in Denver, CO at the beautiful Sports Authority Field in Mile High Stadium. Tempus Nova, Inc., a Google Premier Partner, co-hosted the event. The roadshow shared Google’s vision for enterprise collaboration with businesses and public sector organizations with a face-to-face, hands-on approach. Customers had the opportunity to interact with Google and Tempus Nova executives to discuss enterprise strategy, as well as hear from local customers about their successes since moving to the cloud.
Manik Dhar, Enterprise Leader for the Southwest Region, was the keynote speaker and opened the presentation by describing a better Web experience for businesses. In a consumer-driven IT world, it has become imperative for businesses to provide the same level of availability for their employees as they do for their consumers. The beauty of utilizing G Suite in the cloud is that it empowers employees to have access to their information any place, any time, and on any device.
Adam Massey, Head of Enterprise Partner Business for Google, discussed the standard offering that comes with G Suite Enterprise and the potential for doing even more. To further show how G Suite fills the need for the ever-climbing demands for mobility, demonstrations were performed by Google and Tempus Nova to show the interoperability between a smartphone, a tablet, and a laptop/PC. Google also showed how multiple users can simultaneously collaborate on a document in real time, thereby increasing efficiency and workflow in an organization.
Following the Google demonstrations, Tempus Nova exhibited the extensibility of G Suite by showing custom-developed applications built for Enterprise customers. Tempus Nova demonstrated how they use a combination of Google Sites and G Suite Script to duplicate the functionality of Microsoft Sharepoint. They also demonstrated their use of App Engine to develop workflow applications replacing an entire Lotus Notes/Domino environment.
The final part of the presentation focused on businesses transformed by the capabilities of G Suite. A customer panel candidly discussed their experiences during the migration process to G Suite and answered questions from the crowd. Training, communications, and technical implementations were just a few of the topics covered. Panelists also addressed the many misconceptions about security in the cloud and assured their peers they have found their information to be safe and secure, protected by Google’s unparalleled security team.
Following the presentation, Tempus Nova hosted a networking hour where attendees had the opportunity to interact one-on-one with Google and Tempus Nova executives and the members from the customer panel. Additionally, representatives from Ping Identity, Esnatech, and Sipa were in attendance as partners with Tempus Nova in co-hosting the event. Several roadshow attendees won giveaways, which included a Chromebook, Nexus 7 Tablets, and 50-yard line Broncos tickets! Overall, customer feedback reflected that this event was incredibly informative and beneficial for them. Google and Tempus Nova were thrilled with the success of the event and look forward to doing it again!
