Google has announced some exciting changes soon to be released for Google Chrome. Chrome Enterprise is the newest initiative with the Google Chrome team, bringing advanced productivity, control, security, and support to the Enterprise.
- Productivity – Chrome Enterprise enables organizations to manage Google Play apps, customize the browser, and enable Chrome Sync for an optimal user experience.
- Control – Chrome Enterprise supports Administrators with the ability to manage an entire fleet of Chrome devices with increased flexibility for greater operational efficiency.
Security – Chrome Enterprise provides enhanced security through multi-layered enterprise-grade security and hardware chips to app sandboxes, protecting corporate and user data.
Support & Updates – With Chrome Enterprise, organizations can reduce dependencies on reactive user support and take advantage of 24 x 7 Google support.
Chrome Enterprise also provides extensibility with partner managed alternate programming interfaces (APIs), allowing select Enterprise Mobility Management providers (EMM) and Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) to manage and monitor Chrome devices for the first time, enabling true enterprise grade unified endpoint management. By providing integration with Microsoft Active Directory and with VMWare (Airwatch, Workspace One, and Horizon), Enterprises can easily deploy Chrome devices for their organization and users. Chrome Enterprise also offers single sign on (SSO) support for Google accounts and cloud and native printer management (common UNIX printing system and adding printers in bulk by OU).
All current Chrome Device Management customers will have new Enterprise features with no change in price, once Chrome Enterprise is released.
